These 11 dessert knives are by Clement Hawkes & Maynard founded in 1866 in Northampton, Massachusetts. They have straight steel blades with rounded tips and “yankee” style bolster fitted into tapered mother of pearl handles with rounded sides and butt. Each knife measures: 8" L Blades are stamped: CLEMENT HAWKES & MAYNARD. The company was reorganized circa 1882 as the Clement Cutlery Company. There is some rust or discoloration on blades and one blade is slightly bent. However, for Civil War era cutlery they are in very good condition. Please view all photos for more details.
