Framed "Happy Sail" 2019 oil painting signed by Russian artist Alexander Antanenka (b. 1951, active in USA), with Certificate of Authenticity. Reflected autumn leaves contrast luminous purple twilight clouds and a bright multicolored striped sail on a red boat. Frame measures 16.5" W x 23" H x 1.75" D, with a 12" x 18.75" image area. Please see all photos for more details. Antanenka was born in Brest, Soviet Union, and graduated at the top of his class at the Art Academy in Leningrad in 1978. The Chernobyl disaster claimed his parents, and its coverup politicized the artist, who then fled to Siberia. After the Soviet Union fell, he was free to exhibit his vibrant art to the world.
