Bunnies and squirrels approach a yellow picnic basket on a blanket, as a boy in a cobalt sailor suit runs to chase them away. Hand-stenciled onto woven fabric and signed in lower left corner, #14/250. The art has a single mat in bright egg yolk yellow and is framed in a handsome gilt wood frame with a rope pattern. Has a bracket on the back to hang. The work is under glass. A typed Certificate of Authenticity is taped to the back, listing the artists details and signed by both artists. Dated 1983. Very good condition - the fabric has a few slight ripples under the glass and the front signatures are faded as typical for age. The frame is bright with no noted chips or cracks. Please see all photos for additional details. Dimensions: Frame is 12" x 10", art opening 7" x 5". About the artists: Madonna Ferguson (b. 1941 in VA) and Sylvia Roossien (b. 1946 in Sweden). In addition to creating many art pieces, Ms. Ferguson has written several books on hand-stenciling.
