Framed, hand-embellished canvas print of "The Bath" by Medellin, Columbia painter and sculptor Fernando Botero (1943 -), first painted in 1993. Brush marks accentuate the woman's curves, hair waves and towel. Botero's lushly colored, exaggerated "Boterismo" style portraits are world-renowned and celebrate beauty with a touch of humor. He once trained at a school for matadors, but left to follow his artistic passions, inspired by Diego Rivera's combination of political criticism and art. This brushed platinum and black wood frame is unmarked and measures 29.75" W x 34.5" H x 1.5" W with a 24.5" x 29.5" image area.
