This unique piece was made with special attention to detail and style and is in good vintage condition. This piece was made by Kuchins Furniture Manufacturing co. (1929-1940) under the name "Color-Kist".  There is no press board on this piece. The majority is solid mahogany with pine on the underside of the cabinet. It has brilliant details such as ornate brass hinges and accents, cabinet doors with an interior of lattice giltwood over burgundy textile and leather "windows" framing the textile on top and bottom. The cabinets and drawer open to reveal an interior stained in dramatic crimson. More special features are oxidized rivets that secure a seahorse motif crest dyed into a thick scroll of leather and the curved decorative metal braces and plumb bob on the underside of the piece. The legs are painted with staggered bands of deep blue, gold, and red between natural bands of finish. Please look closely at the photos to discover more unique details of this exquisite hutch. Also, note the stains to the table portion of the piece, scratching to the interior of the cabinets and other wear consistent with age and use.
