Antique French Lithograph by artist Manuel Orazi (1860-1934) advertising an 1894 French production of Massenet's opera Thaïs, whose story takes place in ancient Egypt. The shading of the art has a tromp-l'oeil effect - a highly realistic optical illusion of being three-dimensional. The uneven edges make it appear that it has survived the ages. The piece is inked in tones of black, red, and luminous gold. It is framed in a silvery-gold tone wood frame. Has "D" rings and a wire to hang by in the back, along with felt bumper pads. Framed with plexiglass which keeps the weight of the piece lighter. Condition: the art is in very good vintage condition - lies flat within the frame with no creases or tears- Framed with UV resistant plexiglass. The frame has several minor chips to the finish, and there is a light scratch in the plexiglass, but overall very pleasing to the eye! Please see our photos for additional details. Frame dimensions: 44" tall x 17-3/4" wide.
