This contemporary landscape by Robert Cook is a giclee print on textured canvas, signed in paint by the artist in the lower right corner. The artist uses black, dark teal, turquoise and rust tones to decisively divide the view between stormy sky and warm, earthy ground. It is professionally framed in a wide angular wood frame with a gilt, faux-distressed finish. A sign on the back of the piece states " #77/195" although we see no number on the front of the piece. There is a wire to hang by in the back. Very good condition - canvas is vibrant with no chips. Frame also in very good condition. Perhaps small chip in the lower right frame corner but difficult to discern with the faux aging. Please see all photos for additional details. Dimensions: Frame is 41" wide x 53" tall x 3" deep, Opening is 35.5" w x 47.5" tall. About the artist - Robert Cook (b. 1948) is a self-taught painter who has been painting since 1989. Traditional landscapes and figurative works are often his subjects. He uses acrylics and layered glazing on textured canvas to produce an old world finish most would mistake for oils.
