This large framed serigraph is signed by the artist, Mark King. Born in Bombay in 1931 to British parents, King was eventually schooled in England and subsequently moved to Paris. In 1968 he moved again, to the U.S., and there began to paint sporting events. He died in 2014. This limited edition piece depicts a country fox hunt with riders in red coats atop elegant horses, and dogs leading the group. The piece is signed in pencil and numbered "XIV/CL" (14/150) on the front. The work is in a walnut frame with a rust-toned velveteen inset and non-glare glass.There is a wire for hanging and bumper pads on the back. Very good condition - the art is vibrant and lies flat under the glass. There is some dust on the velveteen inset and very occasional small nicks to the frame.The frame measures 50.5" w x 41" tall, and the art opening measures 39" w x 29" tall. Please view all photos for more details.
