An ornate Chinese dragon winds his way through this intricate oval vermeil brooch. Made of fine sterling silver filigree wire, the dragon's head, teeth and mane are filled with colorful cloisonné enamel in turquoise, deep red, white and indigo. The dragon floats upon a cloud shape frame, and ornaments of blue cloisonné clouds accent the piece. A long straight hinged pin w/ locking closure are affixed to the back. The entire piece has a deep coating of gold vermeil over the silver, giving it a yellow-gold color. Stamped 925. Very good condition. Dimensions: 2-1/4" long x 1-3/8" wide. Weight: 13.2 g.
