This Elgin pocket watch was made in 1910 and has a very ornately designed 14k yellow gold case by Dueber. The level of detail in the flourishes and motifs in the design is astounding and wraps the entire watch front, sides and back. In addition to the beautiful gold work, the front has a small shield with a monogram and the back features a small etched image of a house. The watch comes with the original antique green velvet lined box from JB Hudson & Son Jewelers of Minneapolis. This watch is in overall very good antique condition. The watch will "tick" for a short period and then stop so it is not in working condition. The porcelain face is intact and has no crazing or cracks, however it is missing the crystal/glass dial cover. The case and watch cosmetically are in almost pristine condition showing very minimal signs of wear especially for being over 100 years old.
