This small substantial Russian art deco card case has a fluted star pattern on each exterior side, and a deep blue bezel-set oval cabochon stone set in a 14k yellow gold (tested) push-in thumb piece latch. The case is made of 84 Silver, and has a gold-tone vermeil interior. The silver is stamped with a right-facing Kokoshnik hallmark, indicating it was produced in Russia after 1908. It also has the symbol for St. Petersburg, artists initials, and the "84" stamp. The interior has stationary loops and two elastic straps which once held contents in place. Three of the brass end-plates for the straps are lost to time, but one remains. Very good antique condition - the silver is smooth and shiny w/ very faint and light signs of typical wear.  Dimensions: 3" long x 2-1/2" wide x 3/4" deep. Weight: 86.9 g. Please see all photos for additional details.
