This vintage brass figurine depicts Guru Rinpoche, a revered figure in Tibetan Buddhism. His name means "precious master". He is considered the one to have brought Buddhism to Tibet and established the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism. He is seated with the right extended and the left hand in his lap holding a bird or small creature. The figurine measures 6" H x 5" W. There is burgundy felt attached to the bottom to avoid scratching a table surface. This figurine shows slight signs of wear consistent with age. It is in very good vintage condition.
