This is a colorful serigraph on wove paper, signed and numbered #18/300, by the American-German artist Peter Max (b. 1937). Titled "Sage", it is from his series "Images of an Era" from 1990. In the piece, a woman in a white hat and gown walks among a brilliant turquoise field, while billowy clouds of yellows, blues, pinks and whites bloom in the distance. The piece is signed in the lower right, and numbered in the lower left, where two embossed stamps appear on the paper. The work is double matted in a seashell pink and a wrapped white linen mat, with a gold metal fillet, and framed in a wooden frame with an ivory pearlescent painted finish. There is a wire in back to hang by, and bumper pads. Very good condition - the art is vibrant and lies flat beneath the glass. The frame has tiny chips on two corners, and a mild superficial scuff approximately 1" long. Dimensions: Frame is 35" wide x 45" tall. Art opening is 25.5" wide x 35" tall. Please see all photos for additional details.  Reserve: $400  *A reserve price is the minimum amount that must be met for an item in a lot to be sold.
