#26 • Antique Folk Art Eastern European Storage Bench

Part of MCM Furniture, Antique Finds & More Online Auction (timed auction by Lux Auctions)

High bid $50.00

Status: No sale

Large antique hand-painted folk art pine bench purchased from EuroPine Imports, likely of European origin such as Romania or Hungary, featuring traditional floral motifs and interior storage under its seat. The inside lid has what appears to be a name in Cyrillic script, dated 1902. Traditional long benches like these would often be used in farmhouse entryways or boot rooms. The bench is waxed and ready for continued use. There are many nicks, scratches and dings from generations of use, but none detract from its beauty and function. Measurements: 82"W x 24"D x 40"H seat 17" from floor Reserve: $400
